I just switched to Cachyos. I'm having sleep issues—when I put it into sleep mode and then turn it back on, the screen freezes. Do you have any specific recommendations?

Core System:

  • Device: HP Victus Laptop 15-fa0xxx
  • Kernel: 7.0.3-1-cachyos (64-bit)
  • DE/WM: KDE Plasma 6.6.4 on Wayland
  • CPU: 12th Gen Intel Core i5-12450H

Graphics & Drivers:

  • Hybrid Setup: Intel UHD Graphics (Integrated) + NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Mobile (Discrete)
  • NVIDIA Driver: 595.71.05 (Using open modules: linux-cachyos-nvidia-open)
  • Renderer: Mesa Intel Graphics (Integrated is driving the display via Wayland)

Current Boot Parameters: I have the following parameters active in my GRUB/CMDLINE:

  • nvidia_drm.modeset=1
  • nvidia.NVreg_DynamicPowerManagement=0x02
  • nvidia.NVreg_PreserveVideoMemoryAllocations=1
  • acpi_osi=Linux
