Building Trails and Doing My First Bench Cut

Idk if anyone would be into this. But, I have a YouTube channel where I go on adventures. 7 months ago I start a job building trails. MTN Bike trails and hiking trails. My mentor is VERY good at his job and teaching and since I started the job, I’ve filmed every step. Every build. And I have uploaded a bunch of videos on learning and the steps and all the fun in between of being a trail builder.

If you like watching trails being built or you yourselves want to get into the trail world, you can learn following along with me.

Going to do the Foothills Trail(hike it) and the Appalachian trail in the next 2 years. Till then there’s a lot of trail to be built and it’s always a learning experience!! Happy Trails!!

Nails and sleeping pads.

So, I’m new to hiking with a dog. She’s 4 months old and her name is Sushi. In this picture she did a 5 mile hike like a champion!! I plan on taking her on all my backpacking trips.

My question is, how do yall protect y’all’s sleeping pads from their nails?

I have a Thermarest Xtherm and a Big Agnes Rapid Insulated.

Any other Ultralight backpacking suggestions welcome!! Happy trails!
