Property Tax Protest Opinions
Working on a tool for Texas homeowners and wanted honest feedback from people who have gone through the property tax protest process before.
The idea is basically to make the protest process easier and more data-driven for regular homeowners that don’t want to deal with sketchy-feeling protest companies or spend hours pulling comps themselves.
A few questions:
Would you ever pay a flat fee for a professionally generated protest/evidence packet if it looked strong and saved you time?
What would make you trust something like this vs immediately thinking “scam”?
What part of the protest process is most annoying/confusing?
If you’ve protested before, what evidence actually seemed to matter?
Trying to figure out if this is something people would genuinely use or if most homeowners just ignore the process to altogether.
