What are folks running in their newer model frontiers? I see 0w20 is the manufacturer spec, but down here in the Southeast I'm less worried about too much viscosity in cold starts and have heard suggestions the water-weight oil is specced to inflate EPA numbers at the expense of engine life.

Would bumping up to 5w20 or even 5w30 hurt anything beyond a theoretical mpg drop?

Just updating since I had asked earlier about replacing the diff breather on a 2022 SV long bed since I was in Georgia and didn't plan on off-roading the truck.

Consensus was "do it anyway, it's a cheap and easy preventative fix."

So I picked up the upgrade kit from Z1 today and, yes it's definitely an easy install. Threaded in the barb fitting, ran the hose between the ladder frame cross members and the bed and out the passenger taillight housing. Zip tiedd everything in, total of about 20 minutes.

Already had some signs of corrosion in the oem breather, so glad I got it done. Also the folks at Z1 are extremely pleasant to deal with, definitely drop by sometime if you're local to the Atlanta/west GA area
