First home server, what do I need to know to make sure it is secure?

Hi all, as the title says I just started my first small home server. It's a very basic setup running a prodesk 600g4 (i5-8500t, 8gb ram, 256gb ssd) running ZimaOS connected to a 6tb usb hard drive and wired to the router.
All this stuff is mostly new to me, so I would appreciate some advice. My plan for now is just to run jellyfin + tailscale for remote access, then a small amount of other stuff including PiHole. The only people I want accessing this server is my family in the household, they don't have much access to it at the moment until I set everything up, but access ideally is only going to be in the house and outside with tailscale. Exposing to the internet with a reverse proxy is for when I have more experience and confidence.
What are the security concerns are there with this setup and what should I do to ensure security as a beginner? also would PiHole add any extra concerns?
Again, I really appreciate any help I may get.
