Hopefully some helpful advice for those of you who keep getting on hold by Prolific.

I just finished doing my demographics all over again. I restarted all of them. it took me about an hour and a half. The questions that took me off hold directly after answering them were the new questions about AI usage and AI tool usage at work being that there's no way for you to say no there is a question that says does your team use any AI tracking or management tools and if you say yes it gives you questions you cannot say no to.

this is completely anecdotal. but each time I answer my questions I will check my status on my account to see if I get put off hold or not. it was directly after I answered these questions and said no to the main question ( technically it's a yes but I am not a coder myself ) I was taking off hold right away afterwards.

Hopefully this helps other people if you're in the same situation I am in. oh my very last appeal before I fix my demographics I was on hold I have my appeal rejected for the 7th time.

I am still completely afraid of cashing out right now but at least I get studies now and I get back to work on prolific.

BIG THANKS to u/hearthreddit for the advice! https://www.reddit.com/r/prolific/s/sU6wGyBz4Z

Got put on Hold for the 5th and 6th time today.

I'm in an endless loop of getting put on hold. At this point I should just delete my account it been a full week since this started. I have a 99.8 rating and have been on the platform for 2 years. Prolific support has been horrible and it feels targeted (I know it's not) but after being told it was my PayPal now they are saying one of my submissions looked like AI had typed my responses. I told them to go back to whatever submission they believe had AI and watch me type it all out in their viewer.

I don't know what to do because I rely on Prolific as well as my main job. Things were going well I just got engaged and took in my fiancee and my new 7 year old daughter to live with me. My main physical job slows down during the summer and I was using Prolific more heavily starting last week because of how slow my physical job would become and all was well until I cashed out and was put on hold. This happened 3 times after cashing out. I was put on hold and reinstated 3 times for it. This resulted in me losing extra money that I would have made during this time. For the 4th hold up to the sixth hold it keeps saying that I use AI to write for a study. The only study that had to have writing right after my last reinstatement was a study that had one word replies or maybe just a few words in a small text box no longer than a few centimeters.

From this point forward I have been put in the repeals. I don't know what's going on. Prolific support doesn't say anything. I don't think anyone has been on hold as many times as I have in such a short amount of time. I don't know what to do now. Should I just delete my account?

Just out of curiosity what do you guys think about the current state of Prolific?

I have been on this site for 2 years. 8.5k approved studies so far and a 99.80 rating. When I first started the only issues I had to learn to circumvent was finding out how to spot bad studies. Now fast forward onto now it's like every little thing that wasn't a problem before is now a problem that can get your account put on hold immediately. I feel like whatever AI tracking detection system is definitely not as good as they believe it is and need to get their money back to invest in a better system. This week alone my account was put on hold 4 times including today again lol

What do you guys think in comparison to other platforms if you use any other platforms with everything going on. I'm on a few platforms now and there are times where they do better than Prolific but Prolific is mainly more consistent. I don't know what I'm expecting from this post but maybe there is better out there where maybe if anyone knows of any opportunities?
