As we see at the beginning of Avatar 3, Neteyam and Lo’ak are in the spirit world together. Here is where he asks “do you remember how I died?”
But this always confused me!
I was under the presumption that a Na’vi will only have the memories from the last time they plugged into the spirit tree. I know canonically, Na’vi visit Eywa before big battles so their memories are all backed up in case they die, but from what we see the last time Neteyam connected was before Kiri’s seizure (like a week before he died). So, in the spirit world, he should have NO recollection as to what happened afterwards. This is further confirmed when Neteyam asks Jake why he’s crying when they were fishing together in the spirit realm.
Yet Neteyam asks Lo’ak if he’s dead as if he’s AWARE but just forgot why.
I also find it hard to imagine that the first thing Lo’ak said as he “reunited” with his brother was to tell him he was dead; go on a fun ikran ride; THEN talk about it. Because we know Na’vi memories reset every time you visit them again (so if Lo’ak tells Neteyam today he wouldn’t remember tomorrow)
What do u guys think? Is this js a mistake? Am I missing something 🤔
