First Session: Saturday, 20th June, 2PM EST
Midweek RP Length: Two Weeks
Game Length: Four hours, with a re-host halfway in.
Game Type: A serious RP Campaign, predicated on Written Roleplay with Crusader Kings used as a vehicle.
This is the first Campaign set up in a new RP Discord created by a host of veteran players and modders. We want to give the best experience to our players through shared storytelling and encouraging collaborative narrative writing. Applications for Wave One have just opened but we have multiple spots open for a host of houses, suiting players of all confidence levels.
The Setting
Pre-Session Start Date: 101 A.C.
Session 1 Start Date: 103 A.C.
Following the death of Baelon 'the Brave', a great council is called. While in canon, the council decides that Viserys will rule (backed by Jaehaerys), in this timeline Jaehaerys recants that decision, upholding the memory of his wife. His voice rings out through the air of Harrenhal as he declares Laenor, by way of Rhaenys, as the future king. This provides a unique rendition on a timeline well-known to ASOIAF fans, as the primary plot-point of the Dance of the Dragons is solved not by war, but by litigation. However, all is not perfect. Even though Jaehaerys has up to this point had a rather pristine rule, this is the first crack. He is old, and has finally recanted on a decision/ruling prior made.
While maybe not in his lifetime, the stability of House Targaryen may come under question and the realm splinter into chaos...
