Last November (6 months ago) I slipped and fell hard on a concrete floor at work and hurt my lower back.Current symptoms:Back pain has improved a lot 👍But left leg/foot symptoms started and are gradually getting worse:Electric shock-like tingling in toes, ankle, and top of footPulling/tight feeling in the legRecent change (last few weeks): Sudden sharp electric shock pain especially in the big toe, 3rd toe, and 4th toe of the left footBig toe pain feels like when I broke a toe before — intense for 4~5 seconds then disappearsMuch worse at nightTreatment so far:Immediately after injury: Oral steroids + anti-inflammatories for 2 weeks + rehabNow: Lyrica (pregabalin) for 1 month + continuing rehab exercisesEven with medicine and therapy, the foot and leg symptoms are not improving but slowly worsening.I did NCS + EMG — both results were completely normal. Because of this, my doctor wants to continue only conservative treatment.Questions:Has anyone had similar “electric shock” toe pain after a back injury with normal EMG/NCS?What helped you? (epidural steroid injection, different medication, repeat MRI, pain clinic, etc.)Should I get a second opinion from a spine specialist?Any experiences or advice would be really appreciated. Thank you so much! reddit.com u/Imaginary-Cheetah788 — 22 days ago
