Please share about Flatio

Hi, I'm looking at a Flatio.com rental (in South America) and it's legit from what I can see, but the host has no reviews yet. She's asking less than comparable properties on Airbnb. I've learned the hard way to be cautious... Can anyone share their experiences with renting through Flatio? I'm a little unhappy that when I search online with questions about how they vet rentals/hosts, all the answers come from... Flatio. Or Trustpilot which I don't trust. It's sad to be so wary but I can't afford a mistake on this. Thank you in advance!

Hi, I am coming to Mendoza in May for at least several months, partly to study Spanish. I'm coming from Canada. I'm a writer, editor, and certified TEFL teacher (though I have been doing other work for a long time). If enough people are interested to have a small weekly meeting, I would like to start a group in which I would read a passage from some great English book, then we could discuss it. This is my idea of a good time 🙂

Hi, I'll be visiting Mendoza, arriving in a few days. I'm trying to send money from my Canadian bank account or my Wise account to Western Union. My question is that a local address is required for the "receiver." Since I'm the receiver, as a visitor I obviously don't have a local address... I'm supposed to use the address of the office where I'm picking it up, right? I just want to make sure I don't run into trouble trying to collect the cash. Any advice appreciated, thanks in advance!
