Moving in Three Weeks

I grew up in the (poor) suburbs of Detroit, but am moving to TN to be closer to my parents who retired there in 2019. The problem: They retired to Farragut, which is close to where my brother lives. I’ve already read how this sub feels about the place, and, honestly, it’s why I’ve resisted the move for so long. One might surmise a huge idealogical difference between Detroit and Farragut, and would not be wrong.
I found a somewhat inexpensive apartment there, Lanesborough, which I like for the outdoor setting (more nature driven, less high rise feel). What I’d like is some suggestions of “safe” spaces for me to be around like minded people: community organizations, music venues (punk, indie, bluegrass, not mainstream country, not top hits), creative spaces, etc. Maybe even someplace to work! I know I’ll most likely have to venture closer to Knoxville proper, but I’m only familiar with Market Square. I don’t drink, so bars for drinking only aren’t the place for me. And since this seems important somehow: 46F.

Edit for clarity: I spent a lot of time on this sub yesterday reading through posts. There were comments that actually said “this sub hates Farragut” and would go on to point out the rich, the MAGA, the traffic, the lack of diversity, and the cookie cutter suburban feel. If that’s not true and I missed the joke, sorry for offending.
