Starting as L4 Area Manager (Operations) at a European Delivery Station – What to expect?

Hi everyone,
I’m joining Amazon as an external hire for an L4 Area Manager position at a Delivery Station in the EU (Germany/BENELUX region). I'm coming in with a "Master Professional" background and previous leadership experience in high-pressure operations, but I’m brand new to the Amazon ecosystem.
Since I start in a few days, I’d love to get some perspective from the community – especially from those who also joined as externals:
The Learning Curve: As an external hire, what is the biggest hurdle in the first month? Is it the software, the metrics (STU, etc.), or just the sheer pace of a DS?
Leadership Style: In my previous career, I’ve been very successful with a cooperative, eye-to-eye leadership style. I want to support my team rather than just "monitoring" them. Is this approach welcomed in the DS environment, or does the Amazon "Standard Work" make it difficult to lead authentically?
Floor vs. Desk: How much time will I realistically spend with the associates versus staring at a laptop screen managing labor and flow?
Mastering the Workshops: I’ll be attending management workshops shortly after starting. Any advice on how to use these to build a solid network within the EU ops network?
Labor Management: How much "hands-on" people management (coaching, feedback) is expected versus pure data-driven decision-making?
I’m really looking forward to the challenge, but I want to make sure I don't lose my cooperative soul in the process of hitting those metrics.
Any tips for an external "Day 1" would be amazing
