Starting a small e-commerce business in Morocco – looking for honest advice
Body:
Hey everyone!
I’m starting a small e-commerce business in Morocco with a friend, and I’d really appreciate some honest advice from people who have experience with entrepreneurship or e-commerce here.
We’re planning to sell bar stools and small furniture, mainly through Instagram, Facebook and WhatsApp, with delivery across Morocco.
I’ve attached a few pictures of the product so you can get an idea of what we’re planning to sell.
We’re currently working on product content, pricing, delivery, customer acquisition and Meta Ads. Since this is our first business, I’d really like to hear from people who have already gone through the process.
A few things I’d particularly like your opinion on:
- Do you think this type of product has potential in the Moroccan market?
- What’s the best way to get our first customers without spending too much on advertising?
- Are Meta Ads still effective in Morocco for this type of product?
- Would you recommend showing the price directly on social media posts or asking customers to contact us?
- What should we be careful about with cash on delivery, returns and delivery issues?
- What is one mistake you made when starting your business that you would recommend beginners avoid?
I’m also interested in feedback on the product itself, the presentation, pricing and how we could position it in the Moroccan market.
If you’d like to see more of the products and how we’re presenting them, here’s our Instagram page:

Any honest advice, criticism or personal experience would be really appreciated.
Thanks in advance! 🙏
