How be diplomatic in public ?

Hello everyone, I hope you’re having a good day. I just wanted to vent on here about how I struggle with advocating for my health and my Disability while I’m in public. I went to Church yesterday and the seats were way too low for me. I thought a solution I could use with these type of things is bringing a cushion with me so I don’t have to squat so low with my weak knees, but I am really shy. I am shy telling people that I have a disability. People discriminate against us so much that it’s scary. I ended up sitting on the chair, but I had a really short dress and I had to squat. It was uncomfortable. I should’ve left. My idea was just to go to the church and see if I like the ambience not stay. The thing is whenever I go somewhere people expect me to stay . I feel like such an entitled wealthy girl even though I’m not because I literally don’t feel like I have to stay somewhere just cause I go there, but I know that offense people . How do you shake off that feeling of offending people ?

I feel so shy when I interact with people in public. Also, before I left the door was way too heavy, and the pastor was bothered that I asked him to open it. Also people always try to shake my hand in public, and I do not feel comfortable with shaking hands because I have hypermobility in my hands.

Does anyone have any tips, books, or Youtubers that help on the topic of advocating for my disability and setting boundaries with people?

How do you guys set boundaries with people and wear mobility aids in public?

I am studying HR so this is something also related to what I am studying

I have health insurance but my deductible is $800 so I would have to pay an MRI if the doctor recommended that. I’m getting better health insurance in October tho
