I am trying to simulate an airfoil case(structured mesh) in open foam.but i have had horrendous luck in actually meshing the geometry using snappyhex mesh.i have had the idea of using ansys meshing and taking the mesh file(.msh) and then simulating it in open foam but as far as I have heard open open only uses 3d geometry and mesh file.

It would be helpful if you could share how to make a structured mesh for 3d airfoil case in ansys and softwares to convert ansys mesh to openfoam compatible mesh.

you may think why not do it entirely in ansys? But I have been told to run it in openfoam unfortunately.
