Why is this even allowed ?
If the pact stricly prohibited any magic that would be cast on to the body, benevolent or not, for the sake of preventing any potentional harm to another human, why would they allow magic to be drawn onto swords ? Considering that swords are tools used specifically and only for hurting others.

Going so far as to rid coco of her magic and send her to fucking island of oblivion because of a strong spell without a single line of questioning. But his bum ass would not even dare question the direct lapse in their ideology such as enhancing the tools used for murder and just blindly follows it cause "the pact said so". And I do remember that he holds onto it like an anchor for fairly good reasons, but that does not change the fact that he is an ideologically dead sheep of a human being. !<
