I find it weird that in the application form, they have sections for you to upload your photo, your passport page, your degree certificate, and a photo of your face as the very first step before even receiving any offers or doing any interviews? Is this normal? Or could this be an identity theft thing?

I've applied for jobs via job boards but never through an actual recruiter, so I don't really get how it works.

Could someone please clarify if this is normal?
