I recently got the Dexcom G7 and was excited to stop pricking my finger so much, but it seems wildly inaccurate. Has this happened with anyone else?

It’s read me low ever since I had it placed 3 days ago. It frequently alarms me that I’m as low as 55-65, but with rechecks on my finger I’ll get completely normal readings in the 80s. Another great example was dinner. I had a pretty hefty dinner and assumed I’d have a higher reading. I always average 117-130ish for dinner. Dexcom read me as 90 1 hour post meal. My finger check read as 129.

Hello! Unexpectedly (had planned on another hospital but became out of network, I will be delivering at Lucille Packard this summer). I’ve done some research, but have a few questions for anyone who has delivered there recently or is familiar with labor and delivery:

  1. With it being a teaching hospital, can you still decline having excessive amounts of students/decline students entirely? I’ve seen posts saying they have 5+ students watching their delivery.

  2. Did you get a private postpartum room?

  3. How pushy are they about breastfeeding? We want to try, but I’ve been unable to with past children and do not want to be made to feel poorly or judged if it just isn’t happening and we request formula.

Also just welcome any other experiences or info any one has! Thank you
