▲ 3 r/stroke

I had a severe ischemic stroke a little over 3 years ago when I was 39. My left leg has made progress. I still don’t walk normally, but it’s not bad. My left arm is like a mangled painful mess. I do believe OT horribly mismanaged my care from the start. My left wrist, hand and fingers are in a circled clenched fist. Gabapentin doesn’t work as well. I’ve had several rounds of Botox with no lunch. Muscle relaxers don’t help. I’m at a point where I want the arm amputated. I’m 42F, had to move back in with my parents after living independently in Brooklyn for 16-17 years. They moved to another region of the country so be closer to my normal brother who has a child. I’m 42 and that’s not happening for me. My 75 year old mother has to help me shower and get some clothes on(some I can do myself.) I’ve gained weight from not being able to run anymore. I do some exercise that I can tattoo, but I won’t be competing in any races anytime soon or ever.

My left arm is a swollen painful appendage. I’ve seen lymphedema arm sleeves on amaze. Had anyone ever tried these or has any advice?
