cheap somewhat quality front splitter/lip for the M3?

title basically says it. Any recommendations for cheap, somewhat reliable and quality front splitter/lip for my M3. I am thinking under 200 bucks preferably. The whole thing is just to cover a crack on the bumper cover.

Hi all,

As the title suggest, I am thinking about doing a transmission flush and a brake fluid flush.

Problem/hiccup: shifting into second gear, especially cold is a bit difficult, sometimes a bit crunchy but gets a lot better when warm. I am currently running OEM fluid that's only 5000 miles old and a RTD chasis mounted shifter.

Saw a lot of recs with Redline D4 ATF and other redline products for smoothness since its a less thick fluid. But also saw mixed comments about the reliability of those fluids etc.

Does switching to these fluids make a difference? Does running a chasis mounted ssk increase risk of synchro/transmission wear?

Brake fluid: just thinking about flushing the system since its been 2 and a half years. What brake fluids do you all recommend? Been using Motul Dot 5.1 but having trouble finding it.

Thanks a lot!

Hi all,

Owned my 2004 E46 M3 for about a year now — looking for advice on timing the big-ticket maintenance items.

Quick glance

Where I'm at: Rod bearings were done before I bought it. I've since done a full Inspection II (valve adjustment, fluids, filters), engine/trans mounts, LCAs, and just replaced a failed fuel pump. Car is my daily driver, street only — no track use.

What I need guidance on: VANOS, subframe reinforcement, and cooling system overhaul. Specifically — when should these be done, what warning signs should I watch for, and what are the best kits to buy?

Right now the engine sounds healthy, no VANOS knock (looked good during valve adjustment), no overheating, and subframe appears crack-free. That said, I've heard cooling systems are basically ticking time bombs around 100k, and opinions on VANOS/subframe seem split — some never touch them, others call them top priority.

First year of ownership has been rough (blown CV axles, O2 sensor electrical headaches, fuel pump failure), so I'd rather stay ahead of anything that could leave me stranded again. Appreciate any input.
