Any tips for a player of 3 months or so

Hi im currently league 9 and cant seem to progress any further.

I like maria at pitcher , i find i can use her well.

I like to switch between her and simon.

Edit People have told me to ditch legendarys like mickey and ryan, however these guys seem to be my best hitters and i cant really see anyone i have to replace them. Any pics of example teams would be appreciated .
