Modern Amiga 1000 Keyboard Replacement

I am looking into a modern Amiga 1000 keyboard replacement, and I am trying to modify a design by Phantom Interrogative to take the port from an Amiga 1000, which is a 4P4C or RJ10 port. I need assistance in figuring out how to hook up the new port to the current setup in Phantom Interrogative's schematics.

I believe that for the data and clock lines, I can use 54 ohm resistors and a diode clamping the circuit to ground for circuit protection. This would be a similar setup to the circuit protection present on other keyboards of the time, such as the one for the Macintosh Plus. However, I am not sure how to hook up the power line, and I am pretty new to this kind of electronics work. The power routed into the keyboard from the computer is +5V DC, the same as a USB-C port. I would like the keyboard to be powered by either port, but I need to know how to safely use these two power sources. It's been suggested to me to use a power MUX, but I am still a bit confused on how to properly wire one, as references online suggest it's a bit more complicated than just hooking up the two power IN lines and a power OUT line.
