NAVIGATING NEW ST STATION FOR THE 1ST TIME

Hello everyone,

This Tuesday I am taking the train by myself for the first time. I shall be departing New St Station in the morning and arriving at Euston Station 1.5 hrs agter departure. The service is run via Avanti West Coast.

As this will be the first time travelling by myself I am very nervous.

I have some questions and wondering if anyone could assist about New St Station specifically:

  1. How many minutes before scheduled departure will I know which platform I am departing from?

  2. How do I navigate to the correct platform? I've heard that navigating New St is quite difficult!

  3. Can you offer any other tips?

Cheers and apologies if these questions are stupid!

My friend's mother unfortunately passed away during a surgery to remove a cancer tumour, while under anaesthetic. I am 18, have only been to the hospital for a broken arm and am very scared mainly- well only- about being sedated

Before everyone asks I am having a colonoscopy to test for IBS.
