My company recently changed to a flex PTO policy so I am trying to navigate this.
I am looking at taking 8 weeks of FMLA on a doctor’s recommendation… can I also request flex PTO during this time?
From reading I know it’s up to the company to approve it but I’m wondering if this is something that people normally would do. I know if we had accrued PTO I’d be expected to use that.
In case worth noting, I’m a high performer and don’t anticipate taking more time than FMLA legally allocates. I know WA has paid leave but the compensation for flex PTO is higher.
