Ichika and Kanade Fun Facts
There’s like.. a bunch of them including images but this is just a collection of ones I’ve gathered among the days. There’s definitely more then this.
SPOILERS FOR WL3
+ The Warmth of Intersecting Melodies continues directly the plot of the key story, Echo my melody.
Their emoji combo tends to be 🎼 / 🎸 or some form of Ichika’s guitar with a piano, representing both of their talents being music production, the piano and also Ichika’s guitarist ability.
In Ichika’s second side story of Connecting Tones, Ichika gives Kanade flowers called Gerbera Daisies. The colour, up to interpretation within the game itself, can represent romantical implications, or to be immersed in love, depending on what colour the flowers are. Daisies are also a flower that appears on Kanade’s unit outfit, making the gesture especially sweet.
Ichika and Kanade share the same April Fools group called “Fussy Eaters” from the 2025 April Fools Update and officially covered Phony together, along with Rui and Rin.
They’re in the same Worldlink 3 group together, along with Haruka, Emu and Miku under the event Our Promised Passerelle.
In one of their area conversations together, both remark how long and smooth the other’s hair looks, and how they want to touch it.
Ichika and Kanade is unique because their first interaction was officially in an area conversation instead of an event together.
They’re the only two characters to appear in all of their mixed events respectively (Ichika appears in all of Kanade’s and Kanade appears in all of Ichika’s).
They interact a lot within The Warmth of Intersecting Melodies, Let’s Enjoy Together! Spojoy Park, Ichika Side Story 1, Echo My Melody, Echo My Melody Ichika Side Story 1, Little Bravers Ichika Side Story 1, Memories Carried By The Scent of Candles, Hello To A New Day, Relaxing Tea Time, Show your shine! and Our Promised Passerelle.
In This Spring With You, Kanade’s side story, she notes this after listening to Ichika, Minori and Kohane sing. (That song I heard on the way back from the hospital was so nice... The guitarist did a good job too. Some parts sounded a little unrefined, but it felt both powerful and kind at the same time... I doubt I could create the same sound even if I had the music in front of me... Only the person who was playing that can probably create the atmosphere I felt...) Kanade here is referring to Ichika.
When Honami showed Kanade a video of their band practicing, Kanade was able to immediately pick out Ichika’s voice once she heard it.
In Chapter 4 of The Warmth of Intersecting Melodies, Mafuyu tells Kanade Ichika is very interested in her, and her music production, to which Mafuyu gave Ichika a link to one of their songs, and Kanade notes that she’d be interested to see what Ichika feels after listening to Nightcord’s song.
Ichika and Kanade were in the same Mikudemy class, being Pure Heart in 2023.
Ichika blushed, speaking “Thank you.. I’m glad to hear that but a little embarrassed…” when Kanade complimented her singing.
Their Kizuna titles are “I Kind Of Wanted To Touch It” (Referring to how Ichika and Kanade both wanted to touch eachother’s hair once seeing it), “The Flower Expert” and “One Step Closer”.
They’re both leaders for their respective band and sing together on the anniversary songs as anniversary leaders.
Ichika remarks Kanade in this specific way, as shown from Sekaipedia, the third fan book. "Met thanks to Honami. She becomes a really good reference when it comes to making songs, and I want to talk with her about more stuff."
Kanade helped Ichika with music composition, as shown in Echo my melody!
They share several cards together, one being Ichika’s third focus event where Ichika’s untrained features Kanade helping her with music while Ichika smiles. This is undoubtedly defined as the prime Ichikana card. Other cards they also share together are Kanade’s untrained on Relaxing Tea Time, Ichika’s untrained on Memories That Come With The Scent Of Candles, Ichika’s untrained on The Warmth of Intersecting Melodies and Ichika appearing in a cameo of Kanade’s bloom festival card in one of the memories.
Kanade believes that when Ichika plays the guitar, that it sounds really nice.
Kanade let Ichika buy a Miku CD they both wanted, as shown in The Warmth of Intersecting Melodies, and Ichika let Kanade borrow the CD later on. Both felt bad for the other because of how both girls wanted the CD, but this interaction actually worked out and led to Ichika and Kanade’s friendship developing from here.

2025: I'm glad we made it to Kanade's birthday party. We really celebrated a lot.
Kanade’s Valentines Day Dialogue from the login in 2023 contains Ichika. “When I have the candle I received from Hoshino and the others next to me while I work, I feel like it helps ease the fatigue a little.”
Her New Years Dialogue from 2024 also contains a message from Ichika, stating, “Oh, a message from Hoshino. Hehe. "I'm looking forward to another year with you as well," and send.”

Ichika and Kanade have three individual area conversations with eachother and a few others with other members in Project SEKAI as well, such as Nene and Honami.
Kanade is shown to find that Ichika’s customers at her fast food job are blessed with Ichika’s wonderful smile.
In Worldlink 3, this specific interaction (hopefully it linked in the post) translates roughly to “That time, Hanasato and..” which could be a possible callback to when Ichika, Minori, Kanade and Kohane all met up during spring and the cherry blossoms during the cherry blossoms event.
Ichika and Kanade appear multiple times in Worldlink 3’s music video, To Walk On The World (Sekai no Arukikata). They’re seen talking to eachother more then once and looking at eachother, resembling the event itself and what scenes are in it.
