Anyone interested in tutoring?

I’m completely new to this and don’t know code, but I have been watching a ton of YouTube videos and googling. I’m hoping there’s people in here who just enjoy mentoring and might be willing to teach via zoom to build together and answer questions in real time. Possibly twice a week for an hour? Specifically interested in the ESP32 cam and OCR. Might be a long shot but I thought I’d ask anyway!

When to get a utility patent (I will not promote)

I have an industry specific product idea that I am prototyping. For those of you who have gone through the process of getting a utility patent, when is the right stage to apply for one? I am bootstrapping this project, and I have talked to a few people in my industry, who agree that there is a need for what I am building. I have also done Real world research on the problem and I have observed current solutions. All of these solutions are manual, and non-standard. I am concerned about pre-selling without a patent, and I am curious to know everyone’s thoughts. For some info about , I have a tech startup in this same industry, but this is my first time with a physical product so I am in an uncharted territory
(I will not promote)

Flight school owners, how do you manage paper logs for billing and records?

I’ve noticed anywhere I’ve trained or rented, the Hobbs time is analog ofc, so the pilot writes the time they flew in the binder located in the aircraft. I’m wondering what systems managers use in order to keep that data for their own records and billing which I’m assuming is digital. Do they just have to manually update their systems with all the flight times, (seems like a tedious logistical nightmare and probably leaves room for error) or is there another system I’m just not aware of?

Obviously it’s sounds a little crazy to say pilots meet other pilots online (strangers at first) to time build with. Of course you can use judgement based on flight time, ratings, background checks, vibes, etc. there’s always going to be some inherent risk, but isn’t that just the reality of the aviation industry especially as a low time pilot? I’d appreciate some thoughts on this.
