I'm 19yo, I got diagnosed lately after having digestive problems since I was a kid (6 to 8 yo) and couldn't get a proper diagnosis.
My doctor gave me 3 different pills to help with digestion and gave me probiotics and told me to have a strict no gluten or dairy or processed oils diet.
My symptoms got much better specially my vitamins absorption but the thing is he never did a proper test for SIBO he just told me based on my symptoms we're gonna test for Helicobacter pylori and if it came back negative then it's SIBO.
It's not so good being on this diet specially that my family thought it was just gluten intolerance and I've been gluten free for years now.
He seems like a good doctor but after reading y'all's posts I don't know what to think and I'm struggling to be strict with the diet.
He told me the reason I got SIBO was fatty liver but he didn't tell me what to do about it
Sorry for yapping so much but I'm really so lost and I need your opinion
