Trapped in a bad marriage, looking for suggestions (London, England)
I am 36M Indian citizen married to 34F (Indian who took british citizenship) for 3.5 years now we have a kid 2 yrs old. I make around 270k (155K cash and rest in the form of RSUs) and she make around 80-85K.
I take care of all the household expenses she doesn't pay anything, I tried to raise this multiple times but everytime this becomes an argument and then fight.
I gave up on this and now its the rule that I am going to pay for all the household expenses, she pays for grocery shopping sometime when she buys it or to the cook/cleaner (200-300£) a month and other online shopping where she buys stuff for herself or for our kid which is mostly unnecessary.
I come from underprivileged family and my family parents mostly depends on me although since marriage I have stopped giving them regular money for expenses as my elser brother is taking care of it. I have given 2-3L INR to them as my brother was having some financial issue in between because my brother got some construction done in our house and got the security system installed which drained his savings.
If I give any money to my parents my wife is not okay with this although I take care of everything and having savings for our son's future in form of stocks and other real state I have bought in past.
My entire cash salary is used in household expenses and the saving I make so I barely have any money to support my parents but still she keeps thinking that I am paying them money and keep abusing them all the time, we have had really bad fights as well in past and I have asked to get separated but she doesn't want to get separated as she is basically living life for free on my money and I am doing mostly household work as well.
This time I filled for divorce as cant take it anymore, just want to check what can I lose in this case?
My assets:
- 1 house in London mortgage and deed is on both's name.
- I have a few piece of lands in India but nothing on my name.
- 1 Car.
- 150K in stocks.
- 80K in ISA she also have similar ISA
- almost nothing in saving she is having almost 100K in saving cash.
