Your call to switch to lichess if you haven’t already
Chess.com just added and are advertising their newest future: “Chess.com games Database”
You would think, that it’s a great innovation helping players around the globe improve their understanding of openings. Until you realise it’s locked behind a paywall.
Now imagine if I told you that, a similar website, has a similar database that, truth be told, isn’t as big (only 5.2 billion games) but lets you use it completely for free. As well as unlimited free game review, study materials and tools, all free of cost. Now wouldn’t that be nice. That website… it exists. Its name: lichess.org
This is a call for you to try it out and see for yourself if you haven’t already.
