I got the nexplanon implant mid February this year, and I’ve been having problems with bloody/brown discharge since then. It was fine for about a month, but then when I was supposed to have my period my discharge was just brown, like old blood. Since then it has not stopped. I’m having constant spotting. It’s embarrassing and annoying, especially because I am sexually active and it’s made me embarrassed to have sex with my partner. Is this normal? And if it is will it ever stop? I had this problem when I was on the pill too, but when I had a break every month to have my period it fixed it. But since this is constant release will I just have to deal with it unless I get it taken out?
Any advice would help. I’m embarrassed and uncomfortable and am not sure what to do.
