Inca trail tours in Viator - is the permit included?

I'm looking at a few 4-day Inca trail tours in September in Viator (2 examples below) and I noticed there is a lot of availability, I thought that permits for this trail sell out fast and need to be booked months in advance? Is the permit included in the booking or do I need to get one by myself? Thanks

What would I miss from doing Salkantay vs Inca Trail?

I'm planning a (very) last minute trip to Peru in September and I didn't realize I needed a permit booked several months ago for the 4-day Inca trail. I'm looking at alternatives that are hopefully just as good. Is it still worth doing Salkantay instead? What are the differences between the two? As I understand, Inca finishes at MP, but Salkantay doesn't, so I need to buy separate tickets for MP if I go with it? Thanks and apologies if this question has been asked a million times

Best places to learn in September for an absolute beginner?

I’ve never tried scuba diving before and would like to get my padi open water certification. Which places worldwide (preferably central/latin america or asia but open to other locations) would you recommend to go to in September to do this? Also, I have myopia and wear glasses, I’ve got roughly -4 in each eye. Would you recommend getting a custom made mask before leaving or do diving centres typically offer corrective lenses?

Thanks

Declining a job offer after verbally accepting

I recently received a couple of job offers which are not ideal, but given the current state of the hiring market, I think it'd be unreasonable to decline them with the uncertainty of finding something better in the near future.

Incidentally, headhunters got in touch with me about a couple of more interesting roles (only after they heard I got an offer, what a coincidence...), but I don't think I'll finish their interview process before the deadline on my current offers.

I've never been in this situation before. How common is it for people to accept verbally or even sign the employment contract, then decline before their job start date?
