Love my book haul for the day!

Only a few real let downs - Nueromancer and Artemis.

The rest were solid to excellent (except House of Leaves which I loved about 50% of it and disliked the other 50%). 12 physical, 12 audio.

Such a good month of novels!!

Favorites: Honestly hard to pick one - Piranesi, Short Stay in Hell, Under the Whispering Door.. but I quite enjoyed most of them.

Biggest Disappointment - Nueromancer: just couldn’t get into it. House of Leaves: Loved about 50% of it and found the other half to be a complete slog and tedious. Artemis - Honestly couldn’t believe it was made by the same author as Martian and PHM.

Got a great deal on these! Half are hard cover too!

Initial goal was 50. New goal is 125! About 60% physical and 40% audio.

* Dog of Wars should be in Liked Category.

Biggest Surprise: Ogres. Short novella, but it’s perfect from start to end. Ending has a huge twist that makes the story end on a perfect note.

Biggest Disappointment: Station Eleven. I watched the show before reading the novel (didn’t know it was a novel at that time). And I actually thought the show was better.

July TBR: House of Leaves, The Poppy Wars, The Girl Who Drank from the Moon, Neuromancer, A Short Stay in Hell, Good Omens, The Book Thief, Children of God.

Overall a great month!
