Halloween timelines
Do you watch only certain timelines or do you try to connect all the films in a cohesive storyline? I try to connect them all, aside from the RZ remake and sequel...
Id like to think, Laurie survived Resurrection, knew Michael wasn't dead, got released from the mental hospital & moved back to Haddonfield. Fortified her house, told her grandaughter that Michael wasn't her brother to try to protect her family & then Halloween 2018, Kills & Ends happens. In my opinion, Laurie being that paranoid and booy trapping her house in the 2018 timeline doesn't work for me personally if only the 1978 film exists... Now if Halloween 2-Resurrection are canon, then Laurie has went through some shit, including her daughter Jamie being killed and her son John being attacked, Laurie killing an innocent man in H20 etc. I know, Michael has been locked up since 1978... The town could of covered up his escape from Halloween 4 in 1988 to try to reduce panic. Michael could of been locked back up after the events of Resurrection and then escaped in 2018. Everything between 1978 & Resurrection could of been covered up. Halloween Kills even shows clips from Halloween 2 that apparently "doesn't exist"
Also, if only Halloween 1978 exists, then the sibling thing wouldn't exist... The sibling angle was only brought in the sequel. If the sequels don't exist, then why even mention that "Laurie & Michael being siblings" is something people "made up" ? Doesn't make sense to me to even mention it, if that isn't even in the new timeline.
Also, Paul Rudd was going to play Tommy again in 2018 but wasn't available... Why have him come back to play Tommy if his movie doesn't exist in this timeline? Also doesn't make sense...
As for the nurse from Halloween 1 & 2 being "killed" in H20, she could of survived just to be killed in Halloween Kills People have survived worse.
Laurie also mentions she's had what 2 or 3 failed marriages in 2018? Could be where John & Jamie came from...
So am I right? No, technically I'm not, but when I watch the movies, I fill in the blanks and just make Halloween 2018, Kills and Ends take place after H20 and Resurrection. Makes Lauries character in 2018 just make more sense to me.
