LVN or ADN

I have an associates of science. Full general education and pre-requisites completed. Obviously the smartest choice is ADN and that would be my top pick. Yet I am located in CA, specifically the bay area and I’m not confident about an acceptation to an ADN program immediately despite High GPA, CNA license, etc. They’re extremely competitive. But I’d like to jumpstart my career and get nursing school out the way and start getting paid. My plans are to apply to both programs. I am also wondering If I did go the LVN route, would my Associates degree credit towards my ADN ? What would you do if you were in my position ? Kind of at a loss.
