It appears that a creepy version of a Caleb Hammer thumbnail has taken over my Youtube app on my TV. It’s on the homepage, all video thumbnails, shorts, profile pictures. I’ve never seen this before and it’s super creepy and weird. Resetting the app did nothing.
I’ve been trying to analyze where a Rail Rush 2 could take place and had almost concluded it to be impossible to replicate outside of Taiwan. I couldn’t find another area that was similar in size to Taiwan, had enough stations, and formed a racetrack style map.
…until I stumbled upon Austria!
The highlighted loop is roughly the same size as Taiwan and from my own experience would provide roughly the same travel time. It also has at least 120+ stations (hard to count exactly), which is less than Taiwan, but I believe still frequent enough to work. Also, and I think this is important, it forms a racetrack style loop. Without this, the teams could just go their own way with no incentive to battle over territory.
This route would include 5 of the top 6 largest cities in Austria (Vienna, Graz, Linz, Salzburg, Klagenfurt), plenty of Alpine time in the west, and the beautiful lowlands of the east.
The trains in Austria are extremely reliable, and there are some high speed routes on this circuit like we saw with Taiwan.
Honestly, I highly doubt the boys will do Rail Rush 2 at all, but if they do, I can’t find a better spot than this outside of Taiwan.
