At the beginning of April, my product was at:

73 users
19 published products
59 feedback submitted

I decided to set 3 goals for the month:

120 users
30 published products
100 feedback submitted

At the time, it felt ambitious for where I was but having clear targets helped me a lot.

It gave me something concrete to chase. It helped me stay focused.
And it pushed me to show up more consistently, even on the days where growth was slow or motivation was low.

By the end of the month, I reached all 3 goals.

166 users
42 published products
206 feedback submitted

And I also got :
First sale on 05/04/2026
First MRR on 28/04/2026

So the progression over the month was:

+93 users
+23 published products
+147 feedback submitted
+€4 one time payment
+€9 MRR

That’s why I’m doing the same thing again for May and my new goals are:

250 users
80 published products
400 feedback submitted

Maybe I’ll hit them. Maybe I won’t. But I already know that setting them will force me to move differently.

So honestly, I encourage every builder to do the same.
Set a target.
Make it visible.
Give yourself something measurable to chase.

Let me know in the comments what are you May's goals ! See you at the end of the month.

If some of you want to follow the whole journey, I post every single day on X, or I can do it here if you want me to, just let me know !

Yesterday, I posted about FeedbackFirst passing 150 users.
Today, I woke up and I had already passed 160.

I broke my signup record by far since launch, with the biggest spike so far.

What makes it even more interesting is that this happened right after shifting the direction of FeedbackFirst toward quality over quantity.

The goal is not to attract more drop linkers.
The goal is to attract active builders who want to get useful feedback, give useful feedback, and help each other move forward.

Since launching FeedbackFirst, after every spike of activity, I have gone through quieter periods where it feels like nothing is moving anymore. I know this will happen again, but I will keep pushing and doing everything I can to relive days like yesterday and the day before, when I got my first MRR.

I still do not know if this momentum will last, but I will do my best to capitalize on it.

Next goal: keep the community active, useful, and focused on real contribution.

I did not even have the time to post about it and we already are at 155 users, with the biggest signup spike since launch, and the day is not even over yet.

Over the past few days, I did much less outreach than usual. We even had 3 completely flat days. Then suddenly, this recovery happened.

What surprises me the most is that this happened right after changing the direction of FeedbackFirst.

We also went from 53 published products to 39.
I unpublished inactive products to stay aligned with this new quality-first direction because having more products means nothing if makers do not even take the time to read, validate, or reply to the feedback other users leave for them.

A community can't work if people only come to receive value and never give anything back.

FeedbackFirst helps indie hackers who struggle to collect useful feedback on their products but the most important part is not just bringing more people in.

The goal is to attract active builders.
People who test products.
People who leave useful feedback.
People who help others move forward.

Not drop linkers.

I do not know yet if this momentum will continue tonight, but I want to capitalize on it and make it last.

The new direction is clear: focus on quality over quantity.

The goal is not to build the biggest builder community. The goal is to build one where people actually contribute.

I just got my first subscription on FeedbackFirst.dev

Not just a one-time payment. A subscription ! A MRR ! Monthly F****** Recurring Revenue !
Honestly, this one hits differently because beyond the amount, it means someone saw enough value in what I’m building to commit, not just test.

After the first €2 sales, this feels like a new step.

Building a community for indie hackers is hard but when people actually commit, participate and contribute, it's so satisfying! All those hours of hard work trying to create value have finally paid off, love u all ❤️
