So MANY BABIES!!!!

I started my shrimp tank two months ago, added a few ghost shrimp, two different batches of skittles Neo, a dozen Amano, some vampire, and bamboo (not all at once). I now have SO MANY BABIES!!! I think there are at least four batches of Neo babies from different moms based on size, and of course all the moms have a nice new batch of eggs on the way. The first babies are red and there are at least 15 of them, then there's a bunch that look wild-type and/or clear of various sizes (I think there are two separate batches) and I saw yet another super teeny guy yesterday which means there is yet another batch! It's a 50 gallon tank, heavily planted with C02 and lots of food, so they are thriving for sure! At some point am I going to be over-run with shrimp??

I have skittles in my tank and there was a red one that had been carrying eggs for a while and she must’ve finally given birth yesterday as she looks much skinnier today and then I spotted this little guy right in the front of my tank!

I got my first Neo shrimp on April 1st and already have babies!!! I knew there was an expectant female that I hadn't seen for several days, and she finally reappeared yesterday, no longer carrying eggs. I was just watching the tank and saw the teeniest little yellow shrimp I've ever seen swim right by me! So far I've only seen the one but I immediately added some Bacter Shrimp Baby food. Can't wait to see more of them, AND I have another yellow neo that is also expecting so I should have a decent amount of new shrimps soon. There a red one that might also be carrying but I can't quite tell yet.

I have a neo that is berried and a few days ago I started seeing the black dots in the eggs and got excited that I'll have my first baby shrimp soon. I keep checking the tank and have not seen her for two days. As my tank is big and heavily planted, she could be hiding and perfectly fine. However, I do wonder if they hide intentionally around the time they give birth (for lack of a better term)? I haven't seen any babies, either, so I'm hoping she's ok and just laying low!

Tank in question is a 50 gallon US with well water.

Parameters:

0 Ammonia

0 Nitrite

10-20 Nitrates (comes out of the ground like that).
