Hey guys,

I am working as a freelance Video Editor (EU-citizen) and I am relocating to Prague. I wanted to know if the Paušální daň is the right scheme for me. I make around 1 - 1,2M CZK per year, have really little expenses and I am not married and no kids.

As I understood correctly that the 60/40 rule applies more for businesses, which have much more expenses than in my case, right? So in my case its useless.

Is it complicated to set up the Paušální daň or would you recommend a tax advisor, if I don´t speak Czech?

Hey, my girlfriend has her student visa appointment the MOI this Tuesday. She has two documents for proof of accommodation:

1. Private short-term lease (notarized, July 1st – Sept 30th).
2. The automatic 1-year dorm contract sent by Charles University (starts Sept).

She does not plan to live in the dorms—we want to find a private long-term flat starting September.

Can she submit both to get the 1-year visa away, and just do a regular change of address (Změna adresy) in September? Or is it risky because the dorm contract cancels automatically if she doesn't show up?
