Speed Traps
Has anyone noticed in the couple of weeks that the speed limits have been lowered? Particularly on the south side of Carrol, then in turn Fort Worth Drive and 377 south of I-35.
I know at the very least the southern chunk of Carrol was 35mph and is now 30mph. All the while, there’s an increased police presence trying to get speeders.
On the south end of I-35, Highway 377 was at 40mph and then stepped up to 50mph and 55mph as you drive towards Bartonville and Roanoke.
I don’t necessarily know when the change happened exactly but they’ve now effectively turned all of that corridor into a giant speed trap.
Most apps like Google maps, Waze, and Apple maps won’t update the speed limits for up to some months with that. So essentially it almost seems intentional that they do this and then increase police along the way. I’ve seen multiple people pulled over and know multiple people that have gotten tickets.
So I essentially ask… what do all of you think on this? And is this a large scale instance of entrapment?
