My fiancé and I (late 20s), are moving to Corpus Christi in a few months. Yes, I am well aware of the ongoing water crisis but, we are moving for my job and things are already set in motion. Regardless, we have always wanted to live close to the beach so we are looking forward to this opportunity!

We are looking to purchase a home, and I’ve been doing a lot of research. It seems our two best options are the Southside neighborhood and Padre Island. Does anyone have any other suggestions or recommendations where we should look?

Some other considerations: we don’t have children, so school districts aren’t a factor. We both will be working near downtown Corpus so we’d like to keep our commutes around 30 minutes max…
