I'm going to basic soon for the Army and I am wondering if it will be possible to bring electronics like my iPad, I use it mostly like for studying, drawing, watching movies, etc.

I already know I'm not going to have any family to bring my stuff for family day and if I do it would be my sister who is also in the army and she doesn't live with me and won't be able to bring any of my stuff.

In short I'm basically just wondering if I can bring my ipad to basic so I can take it to AIT with me and is that allowed, if it's not allowed I'll have my family mail it or something.

Looking into joining the airforce and i want to start the process asap? does anyone know of any recruiters in the san diego area?
