Oral Minoxidil with low BP
31F, 5’2” 125lbs, non-smoker, no alcohol or recreational drugs. Meds: vyvanse 30mg, lorazepam 0.5mg PRN, propranolol 10mg PRN (very occasional) for situational anxiety, combined birth control pills.
I used an online derm service through my insurance and received a prescription for oral minoxidil for hair loss. There was no conversation with the provider, I just sent pictures of my scalp. I would like to try it, but should I worry about taking it as someone with low BP? It is usually around 90/60 but ranges up to 110/70 despite adequate hydration, normal electrolytes, and being on stimulants for ADHD. It has been low for as long as I can remember, but I don’t get (pre)syncopal episodes. I also can’t use topical minoxidil because I have cats.
