Third-year nursing student stressed about finding references for New Grad applications 😞
Hi everyone,
I’m a third-year nursing student and I’m starting to feel really stressed about New Grad applications because most of them require 2 references, and I’m struggling to find referees.
I have 2 upcoming placements, but one of them won’t have a facilitator, so I’m worried about how I’ll be able to get a proper reference from that placement. I’ve done previous placements before, but sometimes I only worked with nurses or facilitators for a short period, so I feel awkward asking them for references when it so far long back.
I’m also an international student, so I don’t really have many professional connections yet, which makes this even more stressful.
For anyone who has gone through this: • Who did you use as your referees for New Grad applications? • What should I do if one placement doesn’t have a facilitator?
