Itinerary Help Needed

Planning my first trip to Japan, and seeking help to build a 2 week itinerary. I'm not particularly interested in visiting the major cities (aside from Kyoto). I'm much more interested in seeing the beautiful countryside, the temples and shrines, the ancient architecture, the forests and mountains, the rural gems. I'd like to enjoy onsen, and stay in a ryokan.

This trip has been a dream of mine for 20+ years. If anyone can provide recommendations, I'd greatly appreciate it.

*Edit: Sorry for not being more specific! I definitely have a list of places I'd like to see while there, but was hoping to hear from those who've already experienced Japan and have found some hidden gems in the more rural parts to add to my list.

I would love to hike the Nakasendo trail, explore the forests of Yakushima, visit the village of Shirakawa-go, spend a few days in Kyoto. I also believe Kyushu has much to offer, and am researching it now. I hope to see as much beautiful landscape, temples and shrines, and ancient architecture as possible. I'd love recommendations for shrines, temples, ryokans, etc!

I haven't decided on which month to visit yet. I know the summer can be brutal, but that might be the only chance I get to visit with my schedule being what it is.

I don't really have a budget. I've looked at airfare and the cost of some of the ryokan accommodations, so I'm piecing together a budget currently.

8 week old puppy getting aggressive

We got our lab pup at 7 weeks old (way too young to be taken from mom I believe). I know puppies are mouthy, and biting and chewing is an everyday thing. I remember how my own childhood dog was as a pup, but she was nothing like this (she was also 12 weeks old when we got her). However, this little guy is making me nervous. We've tried "Ow", time outs, redirecting with a toy, etc. And we have him on a solid schedule with eating 4x a day, playing for 1-2 hours followed by naps in the crate (which he has no problem doing without complaint) for 1-2 hours. I'm home with him all day, so he's never left by himself.

But nothing seems to help with the biting. Every time we use "Ow" he ramps up the biting. If we redirect with a toy, it lasts a minute before he targets hands/feet/legs/face. At times his ears pull back, no tail wagging, visibly angry, lunges and bites when we say "Ow" or try to push him/direct him away from the kids he's biting.

Is this because he was taken from mom too young? Is this fixable?

Puppy pees outside, then comes inside and pees again

7 week old lab pees outside, we wait 10 minutes to see if he's done (and sometimes he pees a second time), then we come inside and he'll pee again a tiny amount 1-2 times on the floor. He doesn't pee inside every time we bring him in, but it happens way too often. Any advice?
