Safety path

Jumping on here to get some opinions. I am a safety specialist for a trucking company that is a sister company for a steel building manufacturer. Most of my job has to do with delivering the building loads to the job site or bringing in raw materials to the plant but it also has the safety component in which I inspect the loads to ensure they are road worthy and safe, DOT compliant, and well within FMCSA regulations. This role is also a supervisory position in which I make sure that the drivers coming into the property are doing their jobs in a safe manner and ensuring they tie down the loads within our safety policies and within the law, and with that comes coaching, teaching and mentoring drivers on doing their job safely. The role is mostly hybrid due to the plant being fairly new compared to the others within our company and once the demand for more drivers picks up, the expectation is to be relieved from driving and focus solely on safety. Well I decided to pursue google project management certificate, and my CAPM from pmi and OSHA 30. I had been thinking on obtaining even more safety related credentials but the NSC has some certifications that are just a bit out of my reach financially due to being a newborn father and the economy.
I also think that what Ill do after I complete those 3 certifications that I will get a degree in supply chain and operations from WGU by degree hacking so I can save some money and getting financial aid that way. After being in the logistics, supply chain and transportation industry for 10 years I think its a degree that will validate my professional experience.

My ultimate goal in this educational stack is to hopefully transfer into a more safety focused position elsewhere or a management role in operations at a supply chain or logistics company that can pay more than what I am making at the moment, which is pretty good at an 80k salary but I feel like my family deserves more from me. Question to the one reading this, what do you think? Do you have any advice? Any certifications you think I should look into? Any transportation safety guys here with recommendations?
