Along with this, it would be great to gradually focus on other impactful improvements for public welfare. For example, a strong campaign to keep Tamil Nadu clean by eliminating plastic bags in every corner—markets, streets, and public spaces—could make a big difference. Regular public awareness programs encouraging people to dispose of waste properly in dustbins and maintain cleanliness every week would also help build long-term habits.
Another useful idea could be setting up a more structured waste management system, where non-recyclable waste is composted or processed separately, recyclable materials are sent to appropriate recycling companies, and organic waste is converted into manure for farmers. Encouraging alternatives to plastic and supporting eco-friendly materials could further reduce pollution.
Small, consistent steps like these—implemented one by one—can gradually create a major positive impact.
