Any tips so that I dont quit running?

Hi, i have been walking continusly for previous 2 months now and since last 2 weeks I add a running routine in my walk, previous i used to walk at 3.7mph for 40 mins, now what i do is walk for 3 mins then jog for 3 mins. ( alternating both till 40 mins ). Apart from that I am doing strength training EOD i.e ( 4x15 squads - 4 x 15 push ups). I am taking the right amount of protein as per my body weight and carbs an the total calorie intake as also as per required. the temperature where i live is around 85 (deg)F and 30% precipitation. i have good running shoes, so even thats not an issue. water intake is around 3 liter a day I keep hydrated.

Now the thing is why i mentioned all that is I am just running like 3 mins per run, but on every step that i put forward I have a debate going on in my head and the argument gets stronger and louder at the end of 3 mins ( JUST 3 MINS !!!). I'm 43M weighing 92kg(202Lbs) with a hight of 179cm (5'10). I was an athlete when i was 18, won some medals too in inter regional games as well.

But now i cant even decie if i sould keep on running or should I quit. I though i will get stronger with a base of 2 months of brisk walk. but not i feel like i wasted all the time and i cant do it.

So the basic question is am I doing something incorrectly or its just that I have a quitter mindset now?
