What takes up the most of your time and mental energy when following an elimination diet?
Hello everyone,
I’m currently analyzing daily life with strict elimination diets (such as the 4-FED or 6-FED, specifically avoiding milk, wheat, soy, nuts, fish, and seafood). Before I invest time in developing a tool that ultimately won’t help anyone, I need the unvarnished facts from your daily lives.
I’m looking for your biggest daily pain points:
- Supermarket: Which specific ingredients, product categories, or unclear labels (e.g., hidden soy, traces of nuts) force you to spend the most time checking the shelves?
- Eating out: How exactly do you ensure in restaurants that there are no hidden triggers or cross-contamination (e.g., the same fryer used for fish and fries)?
- Tracking: How do you currently document the connection between diet and symptoms (Excel, paper, not at all)?
- Inefficiency: What extremely time-consuming workarounds have you had to come up with because there isn’t a better solution available right now?
I’m interested in hard facts and your most inefficient processes. Any input helps identify real bottlenecks. Thanks in advance.
