Reworking an old Tav I made a while ago.

Story:

Meet Memnon Thrace. About a tenday ago, she was a Kelemvorite gravekeeper stuck in a dead-end job in Baldur's Gate's lower city graveyard. Then while she was on her day off she got abducted by a mindflayer nautiloid and tadpoled.

Whle stuck in her pod, she was knocked unconscious and visited by Kelemvor in a dream: Kelemvor has named her His chosen, tasked with finding the 'Absolute' and destroying it. Memnon accepts the job and as anointed as "the Arbiter's Vanguard." She prefers Tav for short - rolls off the tongue better.

Tav takes control of the nautiloid, lands it safely (more or less), and saves the day. Eventually she finds some other survivors and they all become travelling buddies. She had a feeling she'd one day have a higher calling, and perhaps her time has finally come - with new powers and a sacred mission, she's off to save the world! (if she doesn't die first.)

I'm new to this subreddit. Here's my V dragging herself out of the house so she stops feeling lonely indoors, to buy a burrito and feel lonely outdoors.

Meet Gertra. She's a Duergar who fled the Underdark decades ago to make it big as a famous hand-drummer. Unlike most Duergar, she's sweet and friendly (if a little naive), and prefers a musical instrument over a weapon.

She has unfortunately been living as a starving artist in Baldur's Gate, with her career basically going nowhere. Yet she still won't give up - one way or another, she will become a household name. Her friends and co-workers have tried to persuade her to either pursue a more realistic career or become an adventurer, to no avail.

One fateful day, she's strolling along the lower city after finishing up a gig when she's unexpectedly abducted by a nautiloid. She doesn't know it yet, but this strange day is the thrilling first chapter to her legend as Baldur's Gate's latest hero.

A mysterious Githyanki mage who wanders the Astral plane in search of untold knowledge. Once a respected ghustil, he grew disillusioned by his people's brutal savagery, viewing them as no better than istik. He also discovered the dark truth behind the Lich Queen's power.

After turning to forbidden magic, he was branded h'sharlak and exiled. He became resentful and vowed to become the most powerful being in all of the realms.

Tav's latest quest led him to Baldur's Gate in search of a mysterious tome related to necromancy, only to be captured by a surprise nautiloid.
