Should I stay at my current job or leave for more money?
I am currently presented with a new job opportunity and want opinions on what’s the best choice.
Here are some specs:
Current Role
-15 minute commute
-4 days a week in office
-Tons of flexibility
-No growth opportunities
-unlimited PTO (although my boss does say little comments and lightly monitors it)
-93k a year with sometimes a bonus and other times not depending on the year
-Been here for 2 years
New Role
-45 minute commute
-Flexible in office work
-Lots of growth opportunities
-Tons of travel (I’m in my 20s, no kids, and single so this is appealing to me)
-Starting at 2 weeks of PTO
-140k a year with a set bonus structure
The new role is flying me out for an interview since it is a private role with a family who spend half their time here and half their time in another location.
My current job is fine but there is so much uncertainty with the industry it’s in that anything can happen. I am also underpaid and undervalued where I currently am.
